At Mosquito Authority, we pride ourselves on protecting your family — and this includes the furry family members. We guarantee our service, and if you are ever bitten by a mosquito between scheduled treatments, we will return, re-assess, and re-treat your yard if necessary.
The only guarantee against heartworm, however, is getting your pet protected by your veterinarian. Different options for preventatives are available, and it is recommended your pet be protected 12 months out of the year. It only takes one bite from one infected mosquito to transmit heartworm. For dogs, treatment is expensive and can lead to lasting, permanent damage. For cats, there is not an approved treatment.
