Our service is based on the 3-week life cycle of the typical mosquito. Each time we visit your property we do an inspection of the treatment area. We identify any standing water that could serve as a mosquito breeding area. When possible, we eliminate the standing water. In areas where we cannot eliminate the standing water we apply a granular treatment that eradicates the larvae of the mosquito.
We then move on to applying our barrier treatment. Our barrier treatment focuses on shaded areas that mosquitoes prefer as habitat like bushes, trees, and shrubs. Our barrier treatment continues to eliminate mosquitoes on contact for up to 3 weeks. Every 21 days we will return to ensure new mosquitoes haven’t moved on to your property and repeat the process outlined above.
Though many of our clients experience a mosquito-free yard after the first treatment, it is not unusual for maximum control to occur after the second or third treatment. Our service eliminates most of the adult mosquitoes immediately, but some may linger until our service has time to take full effect.
We’re committed to your complete satisfaction with our service, and we stand by our guarantee. This means if at any time after your two initial services you or a family member are bitten by mosquitoes, we will return, reassess and retreat if necessary.
We are so confident in our service that we offer it to you with no contracts and no commitments. If you are not satisfied, you are not obligated to continue with treatments.
Our products are designed to function properly in the wettest of conditions. After our barrier spray solution has time to dry, usually between 15-30 minutes depending on heat and humidity levels, your treatment will last the entire 21 days.
The length of time our Mosquito Control Specialist is in your yard depends on many things. Some visits may be as short as 10 minutes, others as long as 30 minutes. The Specialist will always do a walk-through to make sure your yard is free of standing water and other potential problem areas. Sometimes, they will need to treat with larvicide and sometimes they will just need to treat the foliage lining your property.
No one is required to be home at the time of service. If there are special circumstances, such as a gate code or a pet who is out, you can work out the details with your local office prior to service.
The primary ingredient in our product is the same ingredient used in flea and tick shampoos. We ask that you wait at least 15 – 30 minutes before sending pets or kids back outside. Giving our product time to dry allows it to adhere to the foliage and remain for the 21 days before we return.
We often ask that pets be put up while treatment is occurring, just so they’re not underfoot. If that is not possible, just let our office or your Specialist know, so they can be aware.
We have no contracts, and no commitments, so you are not obligated to continue service and may stop treatment at any time.
In order to best control mosquitoes in your yard, it is recommended to start as early as possible in the Spring and continue treatments as late as possible in the Fall. When adult mosquitoes lay eggs, those eggs can survive the colder months (even the harshest winter), so treating your property in the Spring, Summer, and Fall will best control the mosquito population. The length of mosquito season will depend on your climate, so it is best to contact your local office for the recommended treatment schedule.
Our Specialists are trained to avoid blooming plants and foliage, where bees and other beneficial pollinators like to hang out.
Our founder is a beekeeper and we treat within 10 feet of his hives with no adverse effects. If you are a beekeeper, or have any areas within your yard you would like us to avoid, let us know.
Many of our customers say they see a reduction of insect pests other than mosquitoes.. Our process is designed only to target and eliminate mosquitoes (and ticks, where applicable).
Mosquitoes do not serve as a primary food source for any animal, so there’s little to no impact on non-target species.
No Mosquitoes. GUARANTEED.
While nothing can eliminate every mosquito from your property, our service works so well we guarantee you won’t be bothered by mosquitoes between treatments. If you are? Well, all you have to do is call. We’ll come back out, re-assess your property, and, if necessary, re-treat at no additional charge. No Commitments, No Contracts. Cancel Anytime.
We’re so confident in our mosquito barrier treatment services, we don’t require long-term commitments. The most effective way to keep mosquitoes under control is to set up a regular maintenance program. Some exterminators ask customers to commit to regular treatments in advance, but that’s not how we do business at Mosquito Authority. We’re so confident that you’ll love our services, you choose to enlist our team for future treatments without any contracts.Latest Blogs
