Mosquito Authority, the leading licensed professional tick and mosquito control provider, was founded as a family business in 2002. Since then, we’ve enjoyed unprecedented growth as new locations have rapidly opened in communities across the U.S. We’ve experienced strong demand for our services because we’ve developed techniques that have proven to be effective: clearing backyards and local businesses alike of mosquitoes and ticks.

Mosquito control is a multi-faceted business, and it takes expertise in numerous areas in order to do the best job for every customer. That’s where our leadership team comes in!

We work with some of the best and most knowledgeable in a range of fields to ensure that we stay ahead of the curve. Industry leaders at the helm

Chris Buitron

Chief Executive Officer

Chris Buitron joins Mosquito Authority as CEO, bringing decades of experience in various franchise industries from gasoline/convenience store franchising to Big Five consulting to home health care services marketing.

His background includes Chief Marketing Officer for Senior Helpers, Vice President of Marketing for Direct Energy (Home services division) and Director of Marketing for Sunoco Inc., where he supported the company’s 4,700 franchised and company-owned retail facilities across 23 states (over $15B in annual revenues). His strong team-building and leadership skills are essential in helping take Mosquito Authority to the next level.

When Chris isn’t in the office, you find him spending time with his two children and friends. He also enjoys traveling, playing sports, and watching movies.

Chris Brown

Vice President of Operations

Chris Brown joins Mosquito Authority as VP of Operations. He brings over 20 years of experience in the hospitality and professional services industry, serving in various roles from operations to franchise development.

Chris has worked with well known brands such as Bojangles and Krispy Kreme. During his tenure at Krispy Kreme, he held roles as Director of Training & Development, and later oversaw a $150M budget as Region Director of the Eastern US. Key areas of focus during his time with these brands was the success and growth of the company’s franchisees community, both domestically and internationally. Before joining Mosquito Authority, he served as the VP of Team Member Success for a publishing and marketing company focused solely on entrepreneurship. His passion for helping businesses grow makes him a vital part of the Mosquito Authority team.

Outside of the office, you can find him rooting for the Georgia Bulldogs and spending time with his wife and two boys.

joe malinowski

Director of Pest Management

Joe Malinowski is excited to join the Mosquito Authority as the Director of Pest Management. Having worked for top companies in the industry on the operational and corporate side, he brings extensive experience in numerous aspects of the pest control industry. Joe served as the Vice-President of Technical Services at Orkin, and as the Vice-President of Sales for B&G Equipment Company, one of the most extensive pest control equipment providers in the industry. He also helped launch new and innovative products to the industry for ForeFront Product Design and Senestech.

Most recently, he worked for a large distributor providing products to the pest control industry. Operational roles at the branch, regional, and divisional level management have given him the understanding and appreciation of the importance of profit and loss, customer and employee retention, and correct product and equipment selection and training to ensure exceptional service company-wide. On the corporate side of the business, Joe has managed technical services, selected effective products and equipment, engaged vendors, performed risk management, developed scopes of service, and provided field support.

In his spare time, Joe loves spending time with his family, traveling to the beach, watching University of Michigan football, and playing golf when time permits.

Matt Coffey

Director of Marketing

Matt Coffey is the Director of Marketing at Mosquito Authority. Matt joined Mosquito Authority with several years of experience in marketing both traditional and digital. He brings experience working on both sides of the franchise organization, with the franchisor, and the franchisee.

Outside of work Matt enjoys spending time with his two girls and playing sports.

Tamara Michalec

Controller

Tamara joins Mosquito Authority as Controller, bringing over 25 years of accounting experience in a vast array of industries including real estate, health care, construction, and manufacturing. Her background also includes over a decade of experience working in public accounting with various firms. After living in Connecticut for the last 20 years, Tamara recently moved back to her hometown of Hickory.

Outside of work, Tamara enjoys camping, snowmobiling, reading, and diamond art, as well as spending time with her family and friends.
